About the RTG

Founded in the late 1990s in Rochester, New York as the Rochester Transgender Organization, the Rochester Transgender Group aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for all transgender persons (FtM, MtF, genderqueer, intersex, questioning, etc.) to meet with other like-gendered people both socially and for mutual support and learning. The RTG is open to all transgender and gender-questioning individuals of all ages and cultures.

Meetings

Our meetings are held twice monthly on the 3rd Wednesday and last Saturday of every month.

Our Saturday meetings begin with support and transgender topic discussion (from about 2:30pm–4:00pm), followed by a social hour from 4:00pm–5:00pm. Doors will be open at 2:00pm, and we encourage everyone interested in the topic discussion be arrive on time so we can start, however, latecomers are always welcome, and you can stay for all or only a part of either meeting.

Our Wednesday meetings are from 6:30pm–9:00pm and are currently a more open group discussion and social period with support offered as needed. Again, you are welcome to come for the whole meeting or just a part of it.

The Rochester Transgender Group (RTG) meets on the second floor of the Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh Street, Rochester, New York 14614. If the building door is locked, ring the buzzer and say your here for the RTG meeting or just "the meeting." Signs will be posted to guide you to the room.
